Outdoor Recess

On most days except on days of inclement weather or when the temperature is below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, students go outside to play to enjoy the outdoors. If your child is well enough to come to school, they are well enough to go outside during recess. It is very important that students come to school with proper outdoor attire, such as jackets, hats, and gloves in order for them to be safe and comfortable during recess.

BayState Textile Recycling
The focus of the School Box Program is to spread awareness and educate on the problem of textile waste. A donation box is placed outside of each school in a district generating a rebate based on the weight of donations.
Baystate textile will grade ("triage") the donations to figure out if they can be used best: for export as used clothing, they are all cut into wiping rags and resold to companies through the United States that need wipers to keep their plant and equipment clean, or they are broken down into fiber material. Consumers see this material in items such as carpet padding, insulation, and high tech building material like Trex. For more information see their website http://baystatetextiles.com
