Read Across America Week
When we return from February vacation,
we will be doing some fun activities for Read Across America Week including
Dress Up Like Your Favorite Book Character Day
Thursday, March 2nd
Students are invited to dress like their favorite book character or
represent a favorite book in some way.
(this is optional - no props please)
Fox Hill’s Got Talent!
Fox Hill School will be hosting our third annual talent show on
Friday, March 24th for Grades 3-5
Friday, May 12th for Kindergarten - Grade 2
Students may perform an act individually or as a group.
Students will be performing on stage in the cafeteria.
Acts should be at least 30 seconds and no longer than
2 minutes. Students are responsible for practicing their act
at home and providing their own props. Depending on the number
of performers, some acts may need to be combined or shortened.
Act ideas:
Dance (line, cultural, hip hop, jazz, etc.) cheer, gymnastics, instrument(s),
singing, comedy, recite a poem, juggling, karate, etc.
For the sake of time, we ask that all acts are not based on material learned
from violin or band lessons, from recorder lessons in music class, or from other school performances.
And, for logistical reasons we can not accommodate “How to” acts (i.e. origami, drawing).
Auditions will take place:
Week of March 6th for Grades 3-5
Week of April 10th for Kindergarten - Grade 2
If your child would like to take part in the Fox Hill Talent Show,
please fill out the application on the reverse side of the flyer that was sent home
and return it to the office by:
March 3rd (Grades 3-5) and March 31st (Grades K-2)
